Bringing Unity, Integrity, and Legitimacy to Democracy (BUILD) in Somalia

USAID will pursue an elections and political processes program that will support Somali institutions (such as the National Independent Election Commission, the Constitution Commission and the Boundaries and Federalism Commission), political parties and civil society to enable transparent and participatory electoral processes planned by the FGS under Vision 2016 and beyond.

This program will provide technical assistance to national and state or regional institutions involved in electoral processes, technical assistance to political parties on issue based campaigns and assistance to civil society organizations on understanding and engaging in political processes. This activity is designed to increase public confidence in government by promoting accountability and inclusivity.
