Grant Description

Purpose: A joint approach and regular exchange toward joint solutions were identified as missing from the coffee sector's response to impacts of climate on their supply chains.

The Alliance is supporting a consortium of six organizations recognized as leaders in mitigating threats to coffee to align efforts and promote collaboration, harmonization, and joint learning in the sector.

This bundled expertise, the private sector within the industry - will be enabled to invest in concrete action to confront climate threat by increasing knowledge and understanding, providing practical tools, and building networks.Activities: The harmonization, testing and refinement of tools; launching piloting in Guatemala, Honduras and Uganda with Root Capital farmer organization clients; and engaging the private sector to provide input on the consortium's ongoing tool development and to invest in initial piloting activities within their supply chains.
