Ukraine Trade Policy Program (UTTP)

Ukraine Trade Policy Program (UTTP) will improve Ukraine's capacity to engage with the WTO and capitalize on the economic benefits accessible through its membership.

Activities will: .Expand Ukraine's capacity to utilize tools available through the WTOImprove communication and coordination on WTO issues both within the GOU and with external stakeholdersAssess and improve Ukraine's WTO compliance.

UTTP will build the capacity of the MEDT to address non-compliant foreign trade actions through processes associated with the WTO's dispute settlement system.

In addition, the program will work on streamlining customs procedures at the sea port of Odesa and expanding market access opportunities under the WTO Government Procurement Agreement (GPA).

Support to Ukraine's trade and investment environment, particularly helping Ukraine access European markets andbenefits of the WTO system, will decrease the opportunities for Russiantrade pressures on the country's policy and reform environment.
