Private Health Sector Project (PHSP)

PHSP will provide technical assistance to 203 private for-profit health facilities to provide high-impact primary health services.

Tuberculosis (TB) and malaria funds will expand and enhance PPM-DOTS and malaria treatment; and MCH/FP/RH funds will be used to ensure better access and quality of maternal and child health and FP/RH services in the urban setting.

USAID will complete a rapid assessment to investigate the potential for various levels of private facilities to deliver MCH services; increase access to integrated FP services; initiate youth friendly FP services and expand diagnosis and treatment for TB.

The activity will also ensure the flow of TB, malaria and FP commodities to private facilities and ensure private facilities are included as part of the integrated supportive supervision led by the Regional Health Bureaus to improve health services.
