Feed the Future Uganda Producer Organizations Activity

The Feed the Future (FtF) Producer Organizations' activity will focus on strengthening the governance, management and service delivery capacity of producer organizations (POs) with the goal of helping establish durable and enduring institutions that are able to plan, mobilize resources, and deliver services that meet the evolving needs of their members in a rapidly changing competitive environment.

The Activity will work with both formal and informal POs involved in production, processing and marketing activities of the FTF focus value chains (coffee, maize and beans).

The activity is expected to increase the involvement of POs in business-oriented activities along the values chains; improve PO governance and management structures that efficiently and effectively provide services responsive to the needs of their members; and improve agricultural enabling environment at the local government level.
