Grant Description

The goal of the program is for the target agricultural value chains to increase productivity and output, increase nutritious foods available to rural households, increase employment in the agricultural sector, and increase the market share of crops in the value chains in both domestic and foreign markets.

The program will focus on agricultural aspects of strengthening human capital, improving the business enabling environment and increasing competitiveness.

The program will address agricultural issues within the zone of influence (Naryn, Jalalabad, Batken, and Osh regions) and in other locations where justified by links to target value chains in the zone of influence.

The program will focus on three principal groups defined by their position within the agricultural sector (smallholder farmers, larger commercial farmers, and agribusinesses).
