Grant Description

The DigiLift 2.0/Re:build project is a continuation of DigiLift 1.0 and aims to deepen and expand digitalization within the construction sector.

The focus is on increasing knowledge and competence in digitalization for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through education and support.

The project is owned by the board and authored by Emile Hamon from Qflow. The background of the project is Agenda 2030, which emphasizes sustainable development within the construction sector.

The Swedish Construction Federation and The Swedish Installation Federation have developed Bygglyftet, a program that integrates sustainability, digitalization, and Lean to improve the competitiveness and long-term development of SMEs.

DigiLift 2.0 aims to create a platform and arena for SMEs, coaches, and digital service providers, which will lead to increased productivity and competitiveness within the sector. The project´s goals include establishing a platform (www.re:build.se) to share experiences and tools, creating a network for digitalization issues, developing a forum for communication and exchange of experiences, highlighting a digital toolbox, conducting health checks and gap analyses using AI, and finding a sustainable model for self-financing the platform.

The platform will serve as a central hub where companies can access self-assessment tests, resources, tools, and guidance to effectively carry out their digital transformation. The project consists of four work packages.

The first work package focuses on developing a digital platform that serves as a central hub for sharing knowledge and information about digitalization.

The platform will include a knowledge hub, information about applications and providers, and access to coaches who can help companies develop and achieve their goals. The second work package aims to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs by creating a community and involving more SMEs.

This includes conducting stakeholder analyses, organizing information meetings and workshops, participating in industry-specific events, and ensuring geographical distribution of coaches and companies.

The third work package involves automating health checks using AI technology to analyze the company´s digital maturity and provide recommendations.

The health checks will be made available on the platform, and companies will quickly be able to conduct self-assessment tests and gain insights and recommendations.

AI technology will be used to further improve and make the health checks more accessible, focusing on generating improved advice.

The fourth work package aims to develop a sustainable business model for self-financing the platform. The project organization consists of a project manager, a working group, and a steering group. Emile Hamon is the project manager, and the working group includes Lotta Wibeck, Håkan Hagerum, and Henrik Linderoth.

The steering group is led by Lars Redtzer and also includes Anders Gustin and Kajsa Simu.

A reference group with representatives from SMEs will also participate and contribute their resources and expertise. The project timeline extends from Q2 2025 to Q1 2026, with different work packages being carried out in parallel and iteratively. The project budget is a total of 1,100,000 SEK, distributed across the work packages and project management.

Companies contribute "in kind" resources by allocating time and expertise to the project.

The Swedish Construction Federation co-finances with approximately 1 million SEK in direct funds in addition to in-kind time.Risk management is carried out both in the working group and the steering group, with identified risks such as technical risk, time risk, budget overruns, quality issues, and the risk that the platform will not become self-financing.DigiLift 2.0 contributes to several impact goals, including improved productivity, improved information flows, applicable knowledge and in the long run reduced climate impact.

The project also strives for gender balance and co
