Purpose and goal:
Mobile Carbon Capture (MCC) means the separation of the CO2 emissions from the engine exhaust of a ship, locomotive or road vehicle, for disposal or further usage.
In this pilot project a simulative feasibility study will be conducted for sorbent-based MCC applied to European long haul diesel trucks. Expected results and effects:
It will be simulated which approximate CO2 capture rates are possible with MCC systems in the available installation space behind the tractors´ sleeper cabs. Approach and implementation: Work package 1: Preparation Work package 2: Simulative feasibility study of sorbent MCC system. - Comparison of different sorbents with and without exhaust drying.
