CSRD as a catalyst for sustainable living through collaboration between communities and industry.

Purpose and goal:

The project’s goal is to maximize the value of the EU’s sustainability requirements under the CSRD in the local community, strengthening relationships between industry and society. This fosters deeper collaboration, increased transparency, and mutual benefits.

The aim is to develop a method for how the social aspect of the CSRD can help achieve goals and create sustainable, attractive living environments with a focus on social sustainability. Expected results and effects:

The project results are expected to be valuable for upcoming industrial establishments in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, focusing on the following: - Exploring and developing new knowledge about social sustainability as an ongoing process - Strengthening the conditions for attractive future living environments in Norrbotten and Västerbotten

. Generating long-term value for local communities and industry Approach and implementation:

Project consists of a steering group and 4 WP: 1. Planning/coordination, 2. Mapping current working methods/knowledge at social sustainable development, 3. Engaging governance, 4. Anchoring/dissemination of methods.

The project is conducted largely through digital as well as physical meetings. A mapping and final report will be delivered with a summary of the current situation and recommendations regarding collaboration between industrial establishment, civil society, and the local community.
