ReConStruct – Reuse of construction elements and installations for circular buildings

Purpose and goal:

The project aim is coordination of preparation work with proposal to the call for proposals Horizon Europe HORIZON-CL5-2024-D4-02-04 "Design for adaptability, re-use and deconstruction of buildings, in line with the principles of circular economy (Built4People Partnership)". This includes gathering the international consortium, definition of demonstrators, KPIs and the work plan. The project objective is to deliver an internationally competitive proposal at the beginning of February 2025.

Expected results and effects:

Direct results: Project description reviewed by all partenrs and ready to submit.

Long-term effects:

 Improved adaptability of buildings and building units to new areas of use.

 Increased reuse and recycling of building elements and products.

 Extended lifespan of buildings.

 Increased awareness of design best practices for adaptability, reuse and deconstruction.

Approach and implementation:

WP 1 title: Organisation of the project partnership and consent on main focus, selection of the working areas, distribution of responsibilities, monitoring of the proposal progress
