Smartax Reuse concept Eurostars

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the main project is to develop a method to reuse the Smartax board and the Smartax stud in their original formats so that the quality requirements for reuse can be met.

The goal of the planning grant is to write a competitive Eurostars proposal to address the challenges in the construction industry regarding waste, climate footprint, ergonomics and production economics. Expected results and effects: Expected result of the planning grant project is to submit a successful Eurostars proposal in March 2025.

Expected effects of the Eurostars project are a fully developed assembly method enabling full reusability, a demonstration of the reusable system in properties and a wall system that is fire and sound certified and has received an environmental certification.

The Eurostars project enables us to launch the Smartax reusable wall system, which will lead to significant sustainability effects. Approach and implementation: The project is run for 5 months with 3 work packages and a budget of SEK 375,000.

The work packages initially run in parallel whereas the first work package includes developing and submitting a proposal to Eurostars together with external experts. In work package 2, our intellectual properties will be analyzed and a Freedom to Operate analysis will be carried out. The third work package includes meetings and detailed planning with our partner in the Eurostars project.
