Purpose and goal:
The project aims to establish strong connections within the Brazilian healthcare system and gain a deeper understanding of its landscape. The goal is to demonstrate MediTuner’s asthma solution, launch pilot programs with interested partners, and adapt the app for the Brazilian market. Ultimately, the project seeks to help patients achieve better asthma control while reducing healthcare costs in Brazil.
Expected results and effects:
Expected results include establishing new contacts in Brazil’s healthcare system and adapting MediTuner´s app to meet local needs. This will improve asthma control for Brazilian patients and reduce healthcare costs through more efficient self-care solutions. The project also opens the door for further international expansion, potentially enhancing MediTuner’s global presence.
Approach and implementation:
The project involves traveling to Brazil to meet with Professor Sonia Martins and learn about the pilot projects aimed at improving asthma care in the country. The goal is to explore how a self-care tool can support both asthma patients and healthcare professionals, as primary care has limited knowledge of asthma. We will also leverage the market access support from Vinnova and establish additional contacts to facilitate entry into the Brazilian market.
