Purpose and goal:
We will establish a Swedish value chain for volume manufacturing of 2D material devices integrated with CMOS electronics by demonstrating large-scale production of graphene-based sensors. Our 2D material integration technology enables volume sensor manufacturing using only equipment, processes, and materials that are readily available in semiconductor fabs. The use of existing tools and supply chains is a prerequisite for the risk-averse semiconductor industry to adopt the new 2D materials.
Expected results and effects:
Developing our technology will benefit Sweden’s strategic positioning in the field of 2D materials and contribute to the SIO Grafen’s vision of industrial leadership. Approach and implementation:
We bring together 2D material integration experts, a semiconductor and MEMS foundry, and a sensor supplier, thus covering the full value chain from materials to final product.
