Workflow automation for accounting

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the project is to develop an AI-based tool, which enables Ebit AB to automate large parts of their daily manual accounting tasks. The goal is to reduce the need for technical expertise, increase efficiency and improve the work environment by offering a user-friendly solution. Through natural language processing, the threshold for automation is lowered, which contributes to increased digitalization and sustainability in the accounting industry.

Expected results and effects:

Expected results is that VISS automates 30-60% of Ebit AB´s repetitive accounting tasks, freeing up time for more value-creating work. The effects include increased operational efficiency, reduced errors and improved work environment. The project is also expected to contribute to sustainability goals by reducing resource consumption and promoting gender equality, as VISS´s user-friendly interface enables both technical and non-technical users to easily manage workflows.

Approach and implementation: The project is divided into four work areas:

Requirements gathering and design – Ebit AB identifies manual accounting tasks, while VISS designs AI-driven workflows. Development – VISS develops accounting workflows using natural language processing. Validation and optimization – Tests are carried out at Ebit AB to improve and optimize workflows.

Dissemination and commercialization – Project results are disseminated via workshops and webinars to attract early adopters in other industries.
