Digital Beamforming for Electronic Warfare using Commercial Hardware

Purpose and goal:

Saab and BeammWave are collaborating to develop a cost-effective electronic warfare system with 100% Swedish design, intended for production within the EU. By combining Saab’s military expertise with BeammWave’s unique chip for digital beamforming, this system could provide advanced performance on smaller platforms like drones, with capabilities to detect, track, and disrupt enemy signals.

Expected results and effects:

The goal is to develop an energy-efficient solution with adjustable specifications for increased performance and numerical superiority at a lower cost, utilizing commercial telecom solutions. Approach and implementation:

BeammWave and Saab will equally contribute with their world-leading expertise in each respective field to, for a year, investigate the possibilities for the technical solution described in the project summary.
