Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

The project aims to establish international collaborations within the aviation industry with the aim to develop and commercialize a new patented actuator technology, HILA MR, which will contribute to more fuel-efficient and durable aircraft, such as BWB and TTBW aircraft. The technology means that a single actuator can control many rudder surfaces and enables variable camber trailing edge flaps, which reduces drag and increases the lift/drag ratio substantially throughout the flight envelope.

Expected results and effects:

Establishment of new collaborations and networks in Sweden and internationally in the aviation industry that lead to customer contracts around new patented actuator technology, HILA MR, which will contribute to more fuel-efficient and durable aircraft, such as Blended Wing Body, Transonic Truss-Braced Wing, and in aircraft powered by electricity or hydrogen.

Approach and implementation: Establishing contacts with actors in the international aviation industry for

to bring about collaborations, networks and business opportunities around the technology and be able to become one part of the supply chain. This includes establishing a dialogue with partners and potential customers through visits to them in order to better understand the industry and customer needs. Help with the production of material for business and market development of HILA MR to speed up commercialization.
