Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

The use of UAV:s is increasing exponentially in both civilian and military applications. Modern drones are a mixture of specially designed components and standard components. Repairs and maintenance of these units is important but difficult to accomplish under field conditions.

The objective of the project is to develop and demonstrate a mobile unit that responds to the needs of the experts responsible for repair, maintenance, manufacturing and calibration of drones. Expected results and effects:

The project is expected to result in a demonstration unit where additive, subtractive manufacturing together with relevant measurement and diagnostic equipment can be tested, evaluated and demonstrated for use under field conditions. Issues around equipment mobility will be addressed. With feedback from users operating in demanding environments, we can develop the foundations of a system that sharpens Tagnir´s offering and can deliver immediate benefits and contribute to increased resilience.

Approach and implementation:

Preparatory planning, requirement analysis, market analysis, purchasing with broad, existing knowledge as a basis. Analysis according to best practices, reference taking, conversations with potential users and customers. Production and testing of demo-department. Demonstration of the unit to relevant personnel.

Reporting and closing.
