Purpose and goal:

Objective: Assess QT-BMG’s feasibility as a high-performance coating for industrial applications. Goals: Technical Feasibility: Test QT-BMG’s adhesion, durability, and performance on metal substrates. Market Analysis: Identify application needs and engage stakeholders to confirm demand. Development Plan: Create a plan to advance QT-BMG’s TRL and BRL. Sustainability: Reduce CO₂ emissions and reliance on critical materials, establishing QT-BMG as a sustainable local option.

Expected results and effects:

Expected outcomes include successful assessment of QT-BMG coating feasibility on industrial metal substrates, confirming superior wear and corrosion resistance. Project effects involve advancing QT-BMG´s TRL and BRL, fostering a Nordic supply chain, and enabling sustainable, non-toxic alternatives to traditional coatings. QT-BMG adoption is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions, extend component lifespan, and decrease reliance on critical raw materials.

Approach and implementation:

The project is structured into 3 work packages: 1 focuses on project management, coordinating partner activities, and risk management. 2 conducts experimental trials to test QT-BMG coating feasibility on metal substrates, assessing adhesion, durability, and wear resistance. 3 involves market and stakeholder analysis, identifying application needs and forming a consortium. The goal is to create a detailed development plan for advancing QT-BMG’s TRL and BRL, preparing for full-scale implementation
