Web-based training course on sustainable energy transition for housing associations

Many housing associations can do more to reduce their energy use and climate impact, but this does not happen to a sufficient degree as energy solutions in properties are complex.

We want to address this by packaging and disseminating research results and implemented solutions from Hammarby Sjöstad in a web-based training course and participant community linked to an inspiration site.

ElectriCITY Innovation has collaborated with housing associations in Hammarby Sjöstad since 2014 with the goal of becoming a climate-neutral district by 2030 and as an example, 26 of them have halved their energy consumption.

Another effect is that the sense of community in Hammarby Sjöstad has increased, contributing to social sustainability.

Board members in housing associations (target group) will get the opportunity to increase their knowledge and competence about their properties´ energy use through a web-based training course and a digital community.

Participants will reach the training course through an inspiration site where experiences and implemented FoI projects are communicated through films, VR, images and interviews with key people.

After completed training, participants should be able to implement measures in their own properties and know how to establish local housing association communities.

The project will be marketed through our partner networks and organizations, participation in conferences as well as in social media and relevant print media.
