Grant Description
Purpose and goal:
The project aims to explore the hypothesis that working together with FMV, based on the framework for Demand Acceleration, could in the long term complement other, supply-oriented efforts. Through a structured way of working, FMV would, together with the companies, and possibly other relevant stakeholders, explore how solutions initially developed for the civilian sector could meet defence-related challenges.
Expected results and effects:
Expected results of the project is a common hypothesis of the involved the actors about initial needs and conditions, an understanding of how supply and demand-oriented approaches could complement each other. This will result in a model sketch and a strategy. In the long term, the project will contribute to an effective interaction between civil and defense-oriented innovation environments and the defense authorities.
Approach and implementation:
Our approach will consist of four steps
Step 1 - Initial dialogues with relevant authorities
Step 2 – In-depth dialogues with the authorities, with a focus on understanding which needs may be relevant for DA and which specific conditions need to be integrated into the process.
Step 3 - Dialogue with other innovation environments
Step 4 - Design a model sketch and a strategy for how the framework for DA can complement other efforts in practice, as well as what resources are required.
