Purpose and goal:
The project develops the laboratory´s role in a national infrastructure that unites civil and military innovation environments. By combining research challenges with industrial needs, Sweden´s defense and competitiveness will be strengthened. The Wingquist Laboratory, with experience in dual-use technologies and industrial collaborations, is mapping synergies and developing proposals to meet future needs. The goal is to create an innovative environment that strengthens Sweden´s global position.
Expected results and effects:
The expected results and effects of the project focus on increasing flexibility in product development for existing defense companies. We will also create better conditions for small and innovative companies to become more structured and compatible with defense-related actors. A key aspect of the project is to integrate university-based research and education to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, contributing to a dynamic and competitive defense sector.
Approach and implementation:
The planned approach includes workshops, brainstorming sessions, and interviews with companies and stakeholders relevant to the project. We will gather insights and identify needs to develop a concrete proposal on how the Wingquist Laboratory can be enhanced to better support synergies between civil and military innovations.
