Travel grant for Nordic Delegation Singapore 2024 11 18-22

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the visit to Singapore in 2024 is to deepen the relationships and contacts established during the Nordic Delegation in 2023. We aim to strengthen our established presence in Singapore by developing partnerships with sales channels such as restaurants, retailers, and e-commerce for our cricket-based products. At the same time, the goal is to attract investors to enable the expansion of our cricket production in both Thailand and Sweden.

In Sweden, we are collaborating with Global Food Parks AB, which is planning to create a circular food production facility in Västervik. Expected results and effects:

The expected effects include increased sales of our cricket-based products in Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia through collaborations with important sales channels. We also aim to secure full funding for new production facilities in Thailand and Sweden, which enables large-scale production of sustainable protein from crickets. This strengthens our market position and contributes to more sustainable food production on both a regional and global level.

Approach and implementation:

During our visit to Singapore, we will participate in a five-day "Business Matching" session where we will showcase our products in a Nordic booth and have the opportunity to speak at the Singapore Agri-food Expo. We will hold meetings with key stakeholders, government agencies, and research institutions, as well as visit local Agri-Tech companies. Additionally, we will pitch to venture capitalists and receive support from Business Sweden with preparations, transport, accommodation, and post-event follow-up to secure partnerships and investments.
