Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

Today, 50-70% of the global fish catch (30 million tons/year) is lost as side-streams leaving the food chain. AquaFood has a unique method to take care of the side streams to its highest potential as food.

In this project, AquaFood will work to reach the market as an industrial producer. We will conduct customer tests, reduce uncertainty and risk around technical scale-up, and secure funding for large-scale launch. Expected results and effects:

In this project we hope to achieve major development steps in several parts of our activities. Through customer tests we hope to adapt our product to their needs and offer an even better product. Through production tests with suppliers, we hope to be able to improve our existing process and develop it further. Through learning and development steps that take place in the first phases of the project, we hope to secure funding for a scale-up of our technology.

Approach and implementation:

The project will be carried out in tests with customers and suppliers, both at the customer´s premises and our own premises. All tests and trials will be followed up with a feedback meeting together with the customer/supplier and internal analysis. The goal is to implement the feedback to continuously improve process, product and value creation in the market.
