Chromometric microphone with greater sensitivity than the human ear

Purpose and goal:

The objective of the project is to develop a sequence of microphone prototypes with progressively increasing technical maturity, and to demonstrate the prototypes to potential users. The aim is to get closer, both technically and business-wise, to commercializing the technology.

Expected results and effects:

We expect to have produced a portable microphone prototype and to have demonstrated that the microphone is useful for recording classical music.

Approach and implementation:

This first stage is divided into three milestones:

1. We will test and refine the technology until we have shown that the microphone works well in practice, not just in a carefully controlled lab environment.

2. We will, through cooperation with potential users, demonstrate that the microphone is good for recording classical music.

3. We will make the microphone not need expensive and unwieldy lab equipment, and make it portable.
