Real-time analysis of forest environment with AR glasses

Purpose and goal:

The purpose is to investigate the possibility of implementing AR glasses in practical forestry to measure forests and biodiversity on a global level.

The goal is to meet stakeholders and possible partners in Slilicon Valley to initiate a network building between partners and actors.

Expected results and effects:

1, Successful meetings with forestry companies to define their hardware and software needs.

2, Defined hardware performance requirements.

3, Conducted meetings with manufactures of AR glasses to find those that meet the requirements according to deliverables 1 and 2.

4, Letter of Intent with forestry companies that can act as pilots for the next step

Approach and implementation:

1, Map potential AR/VR glasses manufacturers/partners, forest technology companies as well as possible pilot customers in the forest industry.

2, Contact and schedule meetings with potential VR glasses manufacturers as well as local forest partners and investigate possible pilot projects.

3, Meetings, discussions and workshops with VR glasses manufacturers and local forestry companies on site in Slilcon Valley

4, Prepare step 2 and plan pilots.
