Purpose and goal:
CSW Therapeutics is revolutionizing treatment of refractory angina using a non-invasive, and wearable therapy device for myocardial revascularization. This device stimulates regenerative cell growth in cardiac tissue using shockwave therapy (CSWT). The goal is to establish a robust testing environment for CSWT product evaluation, while enhancing the team´s expertise through training, and collaboration with a technical expert to ensure long-term competence in product verification and development.
Expected results and effects: The project will deliver: - A fully operational lab with a trained team capable of using complex ultrasound systems. - Documentation of training sessions, and lab capabilities. - A robust testing plan and evaluation of transducer prototypes.
- Documentation of prototypes verification (e.g. impedance analysis, pressure maps, beamforming ability), including technical reqs. and design improvements for the next prototype iteration. Approach and implementation: 1. Preparation including reading and revision of existing documentation (Oct 2024)
2. Team Training (Oct 2024 - Nov. 2024). Setting up and using complex ultrasound systems, including positioning and hydrophone scanning, impedance analysis, and automatic beamforming systems.
3. R&D efforts (Nov 2024 - Apr 2025). Developing and iteratively updating a testing plan, monitoring the evaluation of current prototypes using testing systems, and ensuring adequate knowledge transfer.
