Purpose and goal:
The purpose of the project is to address the challenge that a large portion of the investment in the climate transition within food production falls on the farmer. The project goal to develop a new business collaboration model, which is well-grounded among participating parties from the entire food chain, from farmers to the retail sector. The model can, for example, promote shared responsibility and cost-sharing between actors in the food chain to facilitate the climate transition.
Expected results and effects:
The project is expected to result in a new business collaboration model for a climate-friendly food chain. The model should be practically applicable and contribute to more sustainable food production in Sweden. It is our ambition that this will enable more farms to implement climate-friendly practices. Thus, we hope to help make climate-friendly food an everyday choice that consumers can afford, rather than expensive luxury for a few.
Approach and implementation: The project has five work packages: 1) Project management, administration and communication
2) Initial mapping and benchmarking, aiming to compile relevant existing knowledge and create a foundation for further work
3) Discussion and dialogue aiming to create a mutual understanding of the conditions and barriers for implementing climate measures 4) Designing a business collaboration model for shared responsibility and cost sharing 5) Finalizing and communicating the model.
