Purpose and goal:
The project´s purpose is to implement an innovative instrument for bladder cancer treatment that integrates diagnosis and treatment in one session. The goal is to improve the patient process by reducing the number of visits, increasing healthcare efficiency, and lowering recurrence rates, while also reducing healthcare costs. This will be done by performing a clinical study with the Multi4-instrument.
Expected results and effects:
The project is expected to deliver faster and more efficient care of bladder cancer patients, with reduced healthcare costs and a decrease in cancer recurrence rates. Patient suffering is minimized, recovery times are shortened, and more patients can be treated quickly, freeing up resources in healthcare.
Approach and implementation:
The project will conduct a clinical study on 20 patients and a usability study with 15 physicians to finalize regulatory documentation and achieve CE certification. Following the studies, the instrument will be integrated into clinical practice, streamlining the treatment process and reducing the need for hospital stays.
