Final Ecosystem Services in Transition: a View from the Aquatic Landscape

The overall objective of our project is to improve aquatic ES delivery in Central and Northern European forests.

Our specific aims are to: (i) Identify current and future stakeholder priorities for ES delivery from the forest landscape(ii) co-develop and promote a new conceptual model of ES delivery that better supports multiple societal demands on the forest landscape(iii) produce beyond state-of-the-art catchment-scale water quality models to support stakeholder decision-making.Our findings will be communicated to the forestry and land-use planning sector, national, regional and European decision-makers and the scientific community.

Our theory of change is that new conceptual thinking about ES and engagement with the forestry sector are needed for more sustainable European forests that deliver a range of ES needed by society now and in the future.
