Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the project is to develop and validate the use of advanced AI/ML and sensor technology to optimize cultivation in controlled ecosystems. The project´s objective is to understand how this technology can contribute to improving plant production and cultivation through analysis and response to plant data signals, with a focus on sustainability and resource efficiency.

Expected results and effects:

The project is anticipated to generate new insights and methodologies for using AI and sensor technology in controlled ecosystems. Expected effects include enhanced productivity and efficiency, reduced resource consumption, and improved environmental impact. In the long term, we hope that this innovation will contribute to more robust and sustainable global food production.

Approach and implementation:

The project includes the development of a test environment with the necessary technology to enable accurate experiments and tests. Advanced sensors and technology will be integrated into the test environment in order to collect data from plants. Data analysis and the development of AI models that help us dynamically adjust and control the ecosystem in the test environment will take place on an ongoing basis, with the goal of optimizing both growth and resource efficiency.
