Grant Description

Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

NeuroDesign is a new interdisciplinary field of research about how the brain reacts to built environments and how these affect people psychologically and physiologically. Deepened knowledge in the field enables conscious choices that promote human, ecological and economic sustainability. The purpose of the project is to identify risk and resilience factors in the built environment and design a new method for quantification and measurability, starting with preliminary principles and a new foundational framework.

Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

By combining interdisciplinary research with practical application, the project is expected to lay the foundation for preliminary principles and a new method. Potentially as a new evidence-based standard in the design of healthy and sustainable urban environments promoting diversity and inclusion. A possible application is also in connection with land designations as an incentive structure in the designation procedure, as increased consideration of health aspects in living environments, contributing to socio-economic gains over time.

Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

Identification of variables and factors based on existing interdisciplinary research as a basis for further development. Data collection, knowledge acquisition and tests of validity and feasibility. Development of preliminary principles and establishment of frameworks. Presentation of findings and results, as well as subsequent results put in a larger perspective, for example, linked to designed living environments, equality, inclusion, and public health.
