Purpose and goal:
The project will, through collaboration and mission-oriented approach, establish a system demonstrator in North Middle Sweden, for on demand and additive manufacturing. The aim is a contribution towards a resilient, competitive, and sustainable industry. With the mission "On demand local and sustainable manufacturing of critical spare parts and components by 2033", the project will support an early market and technical capacity in the area, while relevant actors refine and develops system dimensions around technology, business models, infrastructure, policy, and culture.
Expected results and effects:
An initial focus on critical spare parts and components, makes it possible to tackle and catch low-hanging fruits. The demonstrator is a tool for motivating companies and further develop collaboration. Collaboration creates trust, where people are more likely to share information and contribute.
By structuring a system of stakeholders, OEMs and local manufacturers, supply chains and concepts can be developed, to be spread nationally and internationally. The project will contribute to disruptive system change, where all five dimensions are transferred and developed. Approach and implementation:
With trials in real environment, the project will meet global challenges with resilient value chains, where digital distribution replaces distribution of physical parts.
