Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

Basic Genomics´ revolutionary BaseCode technology allows researchers studying human health and disease to get unique levels of information from single cells. The goal of this project is the scaling of traction and the further development of BaseCode technology with the goal of reaching a further increased part of the market.

Expected results and effects:

We expect to bring BaseCode to an increasing number of customers and further develop the chemistry and software so that more researchers will use the technology. Importantly, by increasing the throughput of the method, more cells can be studied at the same time, allowing scientists to study more diseases, patients and samples simultaneously.

Approach and implementation:

BaseCode is currently offered to researchers as a service that is provided by Basic Genomics at our Solna-based laboratory. Basic Genomics´ goal is to develop BaseCode into a kit that will be offered to scientists around the world to maximize the user experience and impact the technology has on our understanding of human health and disease.
