In the construction process, the client has a very important role, partly because the legislation imposes responsibility on it to meet society´s needs and requirements, partly by overall controlling the process and all its actors. In order for digitization to have an impact in the sector, good insight and concrete action are needed from clients.
An increase in knowledge for clients about what a digital client is and what is expected of him, as well as conditions for driving the matters and how to create support for clients´ digital development has been deemed very strategic for sectoral development.
Byggherrelyftet 2.0 therefore has the long-term purpose of strengthening the ability of clients to apply digital services and aids so that they, in their role, can lift digitization in the entire sector.
Further, the aim is to, by developing support that meets the needs of different clients, support cients’ ability to take the next step in their digital maturity. This includes an increased use of digital tools, services and working methods.
Byggherrelyftet 2.0 is divided into three parts, where the first includes further development of the tool for making the current situation analysis, the second part deals with the development of the development journey, which includes various support packages to raise the digital maturity of clients based on their current situation and needs, and the last part includes activities to find long-term financing and ownership of project results and outcome after the end of the project period.
Byggherrelyftet 2.0 consequently contributes to a knowledge increase that is necessary for the sector to achieve the long-term goals that the Smart Built Environment has in its impact logic.
In short, digitization should contribute to circular resource management, more efficient processes, increased quality of the built environment and a clear contribution to the reduction of emissions in accordance with the 2030 climate goals.
