AI Arena, The AI leap

AI Arena is a meeting place for the acceleration of AI applications in the built environment in Sweden.

BIM Alliance, Future Position X and Geoforum Sverige has cooperated to establish and develop the arena by participating in the strategic project "Concerted effort - AI within city and real estate planning, construction and management", funded by Smart Built Environment.

AI Arena provides the following benefits for its participants:Education and inspirationEnvironmental scan and good examplesHelp identifying needs and possibilitiesNew contacts and matchmakingSupport to facilitate project fundingForum for implementation and knowledge sharingAI Arena has arranged webinars, conferences, hackatons, AI mingles and podcasts.

An operative group, focusing on AI and digital twins, has been created, containing public and private stakeholders and the academy. Events and a calendar are available on the web site aiarena.se. BIM Alliance, Geoforum Sverige and IQ Samhällsbyggnad will continue to operate AI Arena.

BIM Alliance is a nonprofit organization working for a better built environment by maintaining seamless information flows in the design, construction and maintenance processes. Geoforum Sverige is an independent, national association for geographic information and GIS in Sweden.

IQ Samhällsbyggnad (The Swedish Centre for Innovation and Quality in the Built Environment) is a Swedish member organization for companies and organizations in the built environment sector that combines research and innovation issues with cross-border collaboration.In phase 2, AI Arena will provide concrete and effective support to the stakeholders in the built environment in order to:Strengthen AI competence within board of directors/politicians, management and staffDesign and carry out projects to implement AICreate cooperation with other stakeholders and AI developersSpread project results internally and externallyScaling the result from the project for large-scale application of AI within the organizationCreate opportunities for other actors to develop the same or similar solutionsIn phase 2, AI Arena will bring actors within the built environment sector along on a step-by-step journey from strengthening competence, to a broader application of AI.

All stakeholders within the built environment sector can participate on this journey.

For example, from municipalities, regions, construction companies, real estate companies, technology suppliers, consultants, architects and government agencies. Spreading the results, solutions and knowledge is done through events at AI Arena. AI Arena will be a meeting place for networking, knowledge sharing and a place to make new connections.

In phase 2, we build a community!The AI leap is made up of four steps:The competence step:Educating the board of directors/politiciansEducating a selection of the staff and providing e-learningParticipating in the AI Arena network for management and leaders and eventsThe project creation step:Knowledge sharing and support to identify needs and possibilitiesKnowledge sharing and support to develop projects, find AI developers and partnersKnowledge sharing and support to facilitate project fundingThe implementation step:Knowledge sharing between other stakeholders and AI developers during implementationSpreading knowledge and lessons learned internally within the organizationSpreading knowledge and lessons learned to others in the field using the AI Arena eventsThe scaling step:Increased support for the application of AI within the entire organizationSupport to facilitate the use of the same or similar solution by other stakeholdersThe spread of knowledge and lessons learned to others in the field, through AI Arena eventsWe will also arrange open events, continue working on the web site and focus on communication and marketing to reach out.AI Arena Advisory Board will be created to arrange regular meetings.
