A Swedish researcH school In comprehensive CARE for Future Teachers; the SHIFT CARE, is proposed.

Nära vård aims to be proactive, health promoting and person-centred employing digital and hybrid solutions, cost containments, creating seamless collaboration throughout the care chain.
The purpose is to educate and train researchers (at least 40 PhD students in 5-years) through collaboration within four Swedish universities to conduct multidisciplinary cutting-edge research, teach in healthcare sciences in higher education, and have solid connections to healthcare practice.
Further, the research programme focuses on multi-centre research with development, evaluation and implementation of complex interventions and practice solutions to enable improved health and wellbeing for vulnerable patient groups of all ages; especially people with (a) multimorbidity, including mental illness, and (b) life-limiting conditions with high risk of mortality.
The structure of SHIFT CARE consists of (1) monthly webinars, (2) courses that include a teaching practicum, (3) retreat seminars and (4) international internships.
