Purpose and goal:

Visual Sweden is a regional innovation initiative based in Östergötland focused on visualization and image analysis, well established world-leading research at Linköping University and about 100 developing companies. This unique concentration of research and business forms the basis paired with the needs of other companies in the region as well as public organizations, including several government agencies, Linköping and Norrköping municipalities as well as Region Östergötland. The initiative establishes the region as Europe´s most

attractive innovation environment. Expected results and effects: Internationally attractive innovation environment. Successful and internationally demanded applied research. Growth, increased business, new products and services. Approach and implementation:

The 3rd phase builds on the base that was established during phase 1 and further developed during phase 2. The business is conducted on the key words assemble, stimulate, spread, support, strengthen, collaborate and co-act. The innovation stimulus is based on approx. 20 events per year.

The dissemination is achieved through a high activity on social media and a frequent digital newsletter. The core of support is co-financing of projects, especially through platform projects with many stakeholders. Collaboration takes place at regional, national and international level.
