DRIZZLE - Centre for Stormwater Management, phase 2

Purpose and goal:

DRIZZLE´s vision is thus to develop ground-breaking, research-based stormwater solutions, which minimize the pollution load on receiving waters, and which capture the opportunities that stormwater runoff can offer. Expected results and effects:

The active collaboration within DRIZZLE gives the companies access to knowledge in the research front that they use in the development of their goods and services; the research activities are based on the needs of companies and municipalities, which also affects the content of LTU´s courses. This gives LTU the opportunity to offer even more attractive academic courses, which ultimately gives access to employees with strategic competence.

In addition, the possibility for further R&D investments being attracted to and retained in Sweden, which benefits society at large. Approach and implementation:

To achieve the long-term goals the work will follow DRIZZLE’s guiding principles: Cooperation, actively encourage cooperation among stakeholders, between research and practice; Openness, research must be carried out in a spirit of openness to enable conditions for active collaboration; Relevance, research must be consistent with the vision of DRIZZLE, society needs and substantially contribute to sustainable urban development; Originality, research must address an identified knowledge gap; and Quality, research must be of high international standard.
