Grant Description

Purpose and goal: The project had two main objectives/purposes.

Develop and evaluate tools to be able to monitor the GNSS signals at the national survey site´s GNSS receiver. Unfortunately, the project did not go all the way, however, a stable foundation was laid that the project owners will be able to build on in future project.

Gather information about how GNSS receivers behave in the event of different types of (GNSS) interference. This goal was met in connection with the trip to Jammertest in Norway. Expected results and effects:

The project has resulted in presentations at two of the Radionavigation Board´s meetings, the Nordiska Geodesi Commission´s annual meeting, as well as at the European Navigation Conference (ENC) in Noordvjik Holland. We have also been granted applications that will benefit from the expertise that has been acquired in this project

Approach and implementation:

The field experiments, as well as the overall technical discussions took place together with colleagues at RiSE department of Measurement Science and Technology. The software development were mostly carried by a single person who was also project manager. This part involved a lot of testing of software parts to handle high-speed data streams as well as methods of communication between software parts. We expect that the software knowledge will be useful in future projects
