Purpose and goal:
Health economics is a strategically important area that is used to analyze and assess costs and effects of interventions in health care. Health economic evaluations make it easier to prioritize between both treatments and preventive efforts and aim to clarify which alternative provides the greatest possible health to the population.
Profundus has now better foundation for strategic decisions, positioning, pricing and for investments and funding. Expected results and effects:
The work has resulted in a mapping and strategy for the Swedish market. Profundus´ product is well suited for rapid expansion outside Sweden and the Nordic countries. Increased competence in health economics and the basis that is created is therefore very important for our future expansion in and outside of Sweden.
En Early Phase Model (EPM) is now built. Profundus has now a better picture of various costs and the cost savings for Swedish healthcare. The model can be used for other countries. Approach and implementation:
The work has been carried out in project form together with Pharmalex, which has good experience and expertise in the field. The experts at Pharmalex have helped Profundus to identify gaps through literature studies and found important key factors in this field. We have looked at: How healthcare is subsidized
Prioritization of therapeutic areas/patient subgroups Pricing Prioritization of countries/clinics Review and evaluation of data from a health economic perspective Building of Early Phase Model (EPM)
