Purpose and goal:
During the year, we have gone from a prototype for pastured egg production, to a well-functioning system ready for scale-up. We have established our brand and created efficient sales and distribution channels to both restaurants and private customers for the year´s total production. We have started a series of collaborations, including a co-funded project for the development of a collaboration model for multifunctional systems, a collaboration agreement for sustainable innovation in the urban environment, as well as the further development of our concept; grazing-as-a-service.
Expected results and effects:
With the results from the Vinnova project behind us and the co-funded projects we managed to secure as part of the project, we now see a clear path forward towards scale-up and profitability within 2-years. Our main objective now is to reach a full-scale production capacity of 2000 laying hens at our first production hub in Forsby, Klippan in 2024 and to establish a second hub for the start during 2025, while organically increasing our sales of egg subscriptions and our digital and analog presence in Malmö.
Approach and implementation:
The project´s structure has been followed relatively well, where during the first part of the year we focused on the marketing and sale of eggs as well as evaluation and improvement of our production system. During the latter part of the project, we have focused on infrastructure for winter production, establishing collaborations and developing the next generation production system.
