In this project, the hypothesis was tested that it is possible to operate a coffee roaster with pellets and coffee husks in such a way that the emissions become odorless and that the taste of the finished coffee is good.
We had as an objective to meet the combustion technical and regulatory technical challenges linked to above. TRL: Technical solutions have been implemented in lab equipment and found to work well, especially with regard to combustion, control and taste. We still lack data with regard to odorlessness, this as the burner lacked sufficient power.
MRL: We did not objective to change the MRL, but it has become so. Lab equipment/prototype has been completed and with it we have carried out more than 60 test runs, several of them together with demand owners who also analyzed taste.
