We propose three workshops for the critical exploration of ethics and educational values embedded in emerging imaginaries of data-driven practices in education. The first workshop focused on concepts will bring together participants from Educational Sciences, Educational Technology, and Literary Studies to constitute a terminological basis for discussions of values and ethics of emerging sociotechnical imaginaries in education.
Professor Anders Buch will organize this workshop in March 2022 for two days at VIA University College, Aarhus, Denmark. The second workshop, building on the first workshop’s conceptual grounding, is focused on creative interventions. It will be conducted in November 2022 for two days at the Literary Festival in Jönköping, Sweden.
It will gather amateur and expert writers interested in contributing with social science fiction narratives (or similar) that critically envision Education in 2032.
Professor Ylva Lindberg, Jönköping university, will coordinate this workshop. The third workshop focused on novel methods will bring together scholars from Educational Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, Educational Technology, and Philosophy of Technology.
It will identify, map out, and discuss novel methods for creating and analyzing discourses that feed imaginaries of future socio-technical practices in Education.
