Procurement infrastructure test region hydrogen logistics

Purpose and goal:

The project aim to build a basis that can be used for the procurement of technology for refueling hydrogen vehicles with the aim of laying the foundation for a test region for hydrogen. Objective for the project was to create a basis that includes: - Refueling with both 350 and 700 bar pressure. - Refueling of trains either via container or directly via "hose".

- Modularized structure that makes it easy to scale up in terms of volume and "clone" so that similar stations can be installed in more places in sparsely populated areas. - Data needed for R&D The project has fulfilled all these objective. Expected results and effects:

In cooperation with technology suppliers, system integrators and knowledge suppliers, the project has built up a written document that describes technology maturity, industry standards, supplier maturity, growth scenario and proposes a collective requirement specification. Technology suppliers and system integrators have been asked how they adhere to the generally available technology today.

The project has also looked at how hydrogen production can take place locally. Prepared documentation should facilitate future decisions for investments. Approach and implementation:

To implement the project, a project group has been built up with representatives from Umeå Universitet, ProcessIT, Inlandets Teknikpark and Storumans municipality.

Knowledge collection and strategic analysis have been carried out within the group and in cooperation with technology suppliers, system integrators and knowledge suppliers, a written document, LOI, has been issued to a number of selected suppliers. Both written evaluation and in-depth interviews have been carried out and summarized.

An investigation for local hydrogen production has been carried out.
