Purpose and goal:

We met all the objectives set in the project and have a ready product for commercialization, confirmed by internal validation and feedback from first customers. We achieved scaling and development of the manufacturing process leading to optimized large-scale production. Overall, the final sensor design in most parts remained unchanged from the original design and most of the stages were industrialized according to the R&D design.

Pilot mass production was also prepared and implemented. The current level of automation allows for increased efficiency by copying existing equipment. Expected results and effects:

At this stage, we have a validated product and enough customer feedback to support commercialization. Final validation tests after product development confirmed correct execution of development tasks. Thus, we now have statistics from the 2,500 units tested.

The Varioprint configuration is now prepared to increase production to millions of sensors per month. Moreover, we have identified 2-3 areas where we can introduce a further automation to increase quality and reduce lead times. As a result, the efficiency of our production will be even better than originally assumed.

Approach and implementation:

Good organization and proper management of the project allowed for smooth implementation of activities in timely-manner. The collaboration with Varioprint was a success and increased the competence of both individuals and the entire team.

Overall, all the key technological and commercial objectives of the Eurostars project have been completed. In some areas, we have exceeded the initial expectations. We are happy with the results and committed to continue cooperation within the consortium beyond the Eurostars project, which we wish to successfully close with this final report.
