Production test of climate-neutral soft mobility infrastructure

Sweden must be climate neutral by 2045 and the infrastructure sector is one of those facing the greatest challenges in this transition.Our project will contribute to this goal by promoting the development of a climate-neutral solution for the construction of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.

We will design, specify, manufacture and evaluate 10 wooden modules that can later be combined into a 120m long cycle path.The project will also contribute to the development of new digital tools and ensure that innovation is integrated into the ongoing digitalisation of the industry.

In this way, we will take the concept closer to the market, and closer to the expected positive effects that it is expected to entail.The project will improve the match between the proposed solution and the market and end-users, demonstrate the manufacturing process, and produce a number of market-ready modules that can first be tested and evaluated, before they are to be used in a pilot or commercial project for climate-neutral infrastructure.
