Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

Digitala Stambanan has devoted five years of qualified knowledge work to ensure that Swedish industry is at the forefront of digitalisation. The fact that the game plan consists of both people and technology together with the value chains and the system perspective has become characteristic of Digitala Stambanan. In the new Digital Stambanan IndTech project, we focus on knowledge about system architectures, about advanced data analysis, about handling and ownership of data and we can expect that digital platforms and business ecosystems will begin to be realized on a larger scale.

Expected results and effects: Create systematics for industrial value chains that aims at value creation in Swedish industry

A method that captures knowledge from real industrial cases and analyzes, structures and generalizes these so that other actors can effectively use these "patterns" Results live on and develop PiiA IndTech Lab Evaluation of joint demonstrators Networks and seminars for efficient acquisition and dissemination of knowledge and industrial challenges

Analysis and report of DS best practice and state of the art that lays the foundation for further research in digital value chains Approach and implementation:

The project is divided into work packages (WP) and Industrial cases (IC). The project creates ICs from a number of value chains related to system integration and business development. Work packages and ICs work together like a matrix.

The project´s IC defines various industrial challenges linked to the value chain´s product flow. The work packages collects ICs´ various perspectives, analyzes and finds structural patterns. By combining state of the art from academic research with work across different ICs, the project can collect, define and disseminate best practice.
