Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

NIC is a cooperation between actors in Sweden, Norway and Finland within the area of interoperability. Semantic interoperability is the foundation for a number of improvements for example value chain integration and AI within the process industry. The goal for this project has been to strengthen Sweden within the NIC cooperation, create conditions for interoperability within the process industry, greater impact within EU programs and international initiatives. The project has resulted in an EU application and a new project within Digitala Stambanan.

Expected results and effects:

Knowledge exchange took place both within the NIC-SE project and between the project´s parties. Knowledge has been generated mainly in the NIC collaboration itself. It includes both the exchange of knowledge that has been generated and knowledge that the parties have brought with them into the collaboration.

The results generated by the project will be used in existing or future project projects, collaborations and activities.

NIC-SE has taken advantage of results from other completed and ongoing project strategic projects with the aim of developing and building on their results. Approach and implementation:

The work has been carried out in five work packages (Project Management, Analysis of Economic Effects, Framework for Interoperability, New project and Collaborations and Dissemination of Results).

8 workshops have been conducted and recorded for further dissemination. The meetings have been a mixture of inspirational lectures, discussions on specific topics, creation of templates and dissemination of results.

A proposal to the EU (fPVN) and one to Digitala Stambanan IndTech have been submitted. The work within DS IndTech has begun and information about the fPVN will come shortly.
