Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

Sweden India Innovation Initiative (SIII) platform for strategic relationship building based on innovation has aimed to strengthen Indo-Swedish collaboration on innovation. During phase II, the functions of the platform included: external communication, cross-country collaboration, network building, partnership development activities and internal coordination.

Expected results and effects:

Sweden India Innovation Initiative (SIII Phase 2) has created a platform for strategic relationship building based on innovation. SIII has enabled several activities with the goal of initiating and facilitating bilateral cooperation between Sweden and India. These activities included Innovation offerings for Swedish players, matchmaking events, Executive Innovation Team (EIT) seminars, experts panel discussions and facilitation of collaboration projects.

Approach and implementation:

The activities have been carried out according to the activity plan. There were no delays in the implementation and execution of activities wrt timelines. All activities have been trimmed and coordinated successfully in close collaboration with Vinnova and some of the activities in collaboration with other Swedish partners including Office of Science & Innovation, Sweden-India Business Council, Ignite, RISE etc.
