Grant Description

Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

The project aims to provide a potential solution by using the graphene textile pressure sensor for the long-term medical issues of pressure dosing in compression therapy. In the project we have achieved all the planned objectives: verified that the textile sensor was not only good for compression therapy but also showed great potential to prevent and assess the risk of compression wounds.

We have reached product manufacturers for stage 2 project application for the development of prototypes in commercial application potential. Expected results and effects:

The results : 1) a list of medical and clinical eligibility requirements from consulting company Tryck or treat AB, 2) textile sensors have been developed and improved by Grafren AB and 3) RISE IVF AB has measured and assessed that the textile sensor has great potential for accurate measurement pressure under-bandage / socks for compression therapy, and to prevent pressure ulcers. The results contribute to exploring and developing the graphene´s commercial application potential in portable medical devices and to further complement the consortium for further development plans.

Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

The project has had a structure that consisted of the work performed in three blocks, each mainly performed by a project partner as follows: 1) Tryck och treat has produced a list of medical and clinical eligibility requirements, 2) Grafren has developed and manufactured graphene-based pressure sensors, and 3) RISE IVF has tested and evaluated these prototype sensors. The work has been carried out in good collaboration, which has resulted in the project goals being met.
